Mr. Clay, from the Committee of Foreign Relations, made the following report: The Committee of Foreign Relations have, according to order, had under consideration that part of the message of the President of the United States which refers to the present state of our relations with France; and having attentively examined the correspondence which has passed between the two governments, communicated to Congress, and deliberated on the whole subject with an earnestness commensurate with the high respect due to the views of the chief magistrate, and demanded by the delicacy of the questions, and the magnitude of the interests involved, beg leave now to submit the following report., ca. 1835
