Scope and Content
The Zoning Series is arranged primarily in chronological order. The series begins with documents from the formation of the zoning committee. It is followed by amendments: changes pertaining to the city as a whole. Changes to specific streets, blocks, and individual lots follow. They are arranged by year.
The Town and City Clerk Archive has been split into the following additional finding aids: Boards and Commissions, Building Permits, City Property, Corporations, Court Matters, Education, Licenses and License Applications, Mayor and Council, Property Deeds and Releases of Attachment, Public Safety, Public Works, Selectmen’s Records, Sewers, Streets, Taxation, Town and City Officers, Transportation, Vital Records, and Zoning.
